Where do we go from here?
The Challenge
Illustrator Nick Ellwood is a long-time friend and collaborator of the studio. Having returned from a trip to Calais where he documented the lives of refugees, Nick was invited to exhibit at the London Illustration Fair, an initiative supported by Arts Council England. Acknowledging the power of the images he had captured, we were tasked with creating an equally engaging visual identity to support his work, and drive engagement at the exhibition.
Our Response
Working with Nick we developed a striking graphic response to the phrase 'where do we go from here?'; a saying often heard around the camps which quickly became the fitting title for the three day exhibition. The directional device provided the perfect contrast to Nick's emotive illustrations. Translating well to both digital and physical touch-points, our response culminated in a simple show brochure, which hinted at the makeshift camp materials found around the sites he visited.
